The latest edition of the subscription based bi-monthly Yamaha Club Magazine has been released, featuring an article named Yamaha Club and YPKO Online using extracts from my YPKO Members Forum Meet – Blackpool 2008 article, as well as sections by Glyn Madden, James Sargeant, Steve Marsden, Steve Selwood, Roger Hagarty and Tony Ross among others.

There is also mention of Andy Carvill and his wife Liz attending Bruce Forsyth’s 80th birthday celebrations at the Dorchester Hotel. Happy Birthday Mr Forsyth and if you are wondering why he is featured, well he is also quite a fan of Yamaha products owning many instruments over the years.

The latest edition of the subscription based bi-monthly Yamaha Club Magazine has been released, featuring an article named Yamaha Club and YPKO Online written by myself, as well as sections by Glyn Madden, James Sargeant, Steve Marsden, Steve Selwood, Roger Hagarty and Tony Ross among others.

This release has four extra pages to help continue to expand the Yamaha Club content. Roger Hagarty and Steve Selwood begin filling in those newly open slots with articles on touch sensitivity and expression on the PSR-S500 and using floppy disk drives.

Yamaha have today released a new firmware update for the flagship keyboard Tyros 2.

This will be of benefit to Tyros 2 owners using the Regi-stick to control 2 Keyboards and pedals. When Tyros 2 is powered on without this new update, the R3 split point reset to its factory setting. This has now been changed in version 1.31.

Also it has been announced that the magazine will carry an extra 4 pages of content soon, with no extra cost to the subscriber!

Glyn Madden, Editor of the Yamaha Club Magazine has announced that the new Yamaha Regi-Stick Plus for Tyros 2 is now shipping:

“Thanks for your patience – you’ll be as relieved as I am to hear that the new Regi-Stick Plus is now starting to go out. The first batch is programmed and will be in the post today – but another batch of sticks is due to arrive towards the end of next week. However, Cath has done everything she can to ensure that the run out as smooth as possible.”

The new Regi-Stick is designed for the Yamaha Tyros 2 allowing owners to expand their keyboard even further.
