Yamaha have today released information and preview videos of their new synthesizer, the Motif XF.
Soon after the original MOTIF was released in 2001, it was recognized as the best sounding, top selling and most requested music workstation on the market. Over time, it has continued to evolve and improve its expressiveness and functionality. At the same time, the online community of end users, sound programmers, software developers and product support specialists at www.MOTIFATOR.com has expanded into a vibrant online music production community. The MOTIF breathes new life into live performances with its expressive sounds and intuitive control. In music creation, the MOTIF not only offers its own music creation capabilities, it also offers a system for integrating those capabilities with a variety of software applications. And now, the next generation XF builds on the decade-long heritage of MOTIF, and provides groundbreaking expansion capabilities with flash memory that will set a new standard for keyboard workstations for years to come.

Eileen Lowry and other YPKO members were invited to take part in a Yamaha UK discussion regarding keyboard and digital piano feedback. This is what Eileen had to say on our forum:
A group of us were randomly asked if we would like to attend a meeting at Yamaha to discuss what we liked and did not like on our keyboards and what we would like to see in the future. We had a great day and many ideas were put forward and many questions asked. We were told that Yamaha do read this forum to get a general picture of how products are used and what people require in future boards and how they can improve things people may have difficulies with. To me this is a big thumbs up to Yamaha.
Yamaha Music UK Ltd is part of the Yamaha Corporation worldwide group of companies and is responsible for Yamaha musical instruments and pro audio equipment in the UK and Ireland.
