Yamaha have released a new firmware update (v1.10) for the PSR-S710 and PSR-S910 keyboards that adds many network features that didn’t exist before. Wireless encryption standards WPA and WPS are now supported (encryption is to protect your information over a wireless network, requiring a password to login to your home network). Also a selection of wireless lan adapters are now added to the supported list.

New features include:

• WPA (a wireless LAN security format standard) is now supported. This standard offers improved security relative to the WEP format formerly supported. (Certain USB-LAN adaptors (*1) do not support WPA.)
• WPS (a standard that facilitate wireless LAN settings) is now supported. You can set up a wireless LAN connection simply by pushing the WPS button on an access point that supports the WPS function. (Certain USB-LAN adaptors (*1) do not support the WPS function.)
