    Hi James,

Great Podcast. Thoroughly enjoyed that and most informative. Regi Stick Plus sounds great and good value for money.

Also the demo`s of the new IDC. styles were a lot better than those on the IDC connection. Well done.

One question arose from the interview. Demo`s of Regi Stick will be in stores from 1sr October but when are we able to buy it (from the club) and are they taking pre- orders?

    Congratulations on Podcast again.

    Neville.

    Hi James (and James!),

Congratulations on a really interesting and well thought out podcast. I would like to Congratulare too Richard and James for what appears to be a great and affordable necessity (I would think!) for any T2 Owner.

Some instant thoughts, without much forethought, and typing as I think, immediately after listening to you.

I feel that this innovation may well have been ‘customer driven’ particularly from the feedback gleaned from the YPKO Forum. Yamaha seem to be listening to its customers! It seems that products recently launched by TTL, have also been a conributory factor to the contents of the new stick, but you have taken this a lot farther.

You seem to have thought of almost everything in there needed to maintain enthusiasm of current T2 owners, and if this trend of almost ‘upgrading’ the T2’s capabilities, other than OS upgrades, may well outshine Wersi’s dismal attempts to produce a keyboard/organ that has longevity by this means – The T3 if there ever is one in the near future, will have to be ’something else’ if it is to be a viable proposition to T2 owners to upgrade their present keyboard to a T3. The T1 is now made almost obsolete! This move may well encourage players with T1s, 9000s etc to dig out the money for a T2 now, knowing that it will and can be upgraded, and will be a long-term investment, rather than the 3 year swap syndrome we have grown accustomed to, with keyboards. As a Pro Organist in a previous incarnation, I kept my investment in an expensive organ for a very long time, and have been ‘miffed’ when I switched to Portable Keyboards that it appeared that Yamaha wanted me to buy a new Instrument every three years or so. My Yamaha FX 20 toured the world with me for 22 years, and satisfied my requirements and my listeners for all that time. I realise, of course – that technology is now moving at a much faster rate in the last few years, and as a result one cannot expect to keep the latest instrument for such a long period, but I would hope, with this kind of thinking, the T2 will stay up to date, and a strong competitor to other Manufacturers products for much longer, possibly a 6 year life ?, and gain back much customer loyalty.

Just the ravings of an old fart, but I hope there is a bit of wisdom here!

Once again, Congratulations, and I appologise for my scepticism in posts prior to getting this news.

    Kindly,

    John (The Chicken in Black!)
