terryharriman3Terry Harriman has written a new article for Yamaha Personal Keyboard Owner continuing his great work on his Scales series. Titled Starting Out – Major Scales, Terry encourages you to practice your scales every day to improve your fingering skills:

Working for a just a few minutes every day on your ‘technique’ will not fail to pay dividends. Scale playing will help develop good finger action, strength, agility, coordination, accuracy, ‘key sense’ and an appreciation of good fingering. These two worksheets set out, in notation, six MAJOR Scales for the Right and Left Hands.

Yamaha Release Two New Premium Style Demonstration Videos – Stairway Rock and Swedish Pop

premiummovieYamaha have released two new videos demonstrating a couple of the Premium Styles on their official Yamaha Tyros3 Website. The styles include Stairway Rock and Swedish Pop presented on the Tyros3, however there are many Premium Styles available for various Yamaha instruments, so make sure you head over to the Yamaha MusicSoft website to view their entire library, which includes audio samples.

Yamaha Release Digital Music Notebook Version 3.0 – Major Improvements

digitalmusicbookYamaha have released their latest software version of ‘Digital Music Notebook’ with major new improvements advancing to Version 3.0 compatible with Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7.

Digital Music Notebook is a service that allows you to easily learn your favorite songs and take lessons. Compared to other more traditional digital sheetmusic services, the Digital Music Notebook player provides a lot of useful interactivity. You can transpose into different keys, slow down tempos, look at virtual instruments with lighted keyboards and guitar fret boards just to name a few. If you are a Yamaha Keyboard or Clavinova owner with a compatible model, it gets even better. You can transfer the digital sheetmusic using a feature called Keyboard Sync and use the interactive features of your instrument to help you learn songs faster.

YPKO Forum MeetThe community of Yamaha Personal Keyboard Owner have again been enjoying themselves in Blackpool for the second time this year thanks to Neville Sharman and other members of the forum.
